Called out sick for tomorrow. Got a pounding headache. But mostly, it's just overwork.

I only slept about three hours last night, and I'm not optimistic about tonight.

Anyway, hoping some rest will do the trick.

The workload is taking its toll on my medical team. When I called in to my MA Supervisor, he told me he had just been diagnosed with bronchitis, and will be out for the rest of the week. Too much work and not enough rest is a powerful immunosuppressant.

I hate to complain to my beloved Loungers. But you are all always so kind and supportive. You give me the strength to keep going.

I'd wake up and not be able to go back to sleep. My doctor took a look at my labs and told me that magnesium levels tend to dip as we age. He recommended adding a second dose of magnesium this time before bed.

I did and it worked! Since then I've been able to go right back to sleep after a trek to the bathroom.

I'd never heard of magnesium being needed for sleep until my doctor told me.

You made a good decision to call in sick. You aren't complaining, it's self defense. Take care and feel better, Aristus.

My brother was having them, got checked, dr sent him in for cat scan, they sent him to ER for an MRI … he had subdural hematoma on both sides of his brain.
They said bc of head blow, but he hadn’t any falls etc … to this day they don’t know why . Had 3 brain surgeries, spent almost 2 months in hospital before he was released .
And he’s back in the hospital now due to blood clot in his leg DVT, which resulted in blood clots in both lungs … had a thrombectomy on his leg and is on heparin for his lung clots … and is now improving slowly

Don’t mess around with headaches, get it checked out !

I'm glad to hear your brother is improving, and I hope he's back to 100% soon.

There's a lot more to subdural hematomas than just a headache; dizziness, disorientation, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, loss of balance, etc. All I have is the headache.

I do have hypertension, but it is well-controlled with an angiotensin receptor blocker.

I'll be all right. Just need some rest.
