It's a paradox. If the lights are out and there's nothing to see, there won't be any around.

The owner's agent said nothing about us needing to leave, and she wasn't surprised to see us here. I feel very weird about being here. My anxiety about having to move is ticking closer to ten today.

during showings and it would probably be much less stressful for you to do something else. Maybe the looky loos will surprise you and make a good offer and you won’t have to deal with any more showings.

I was unable to leave one time but our realtor said that was OK. My 2 year old was sick but my 4 year old was fine and took the people looking at the house every place he had ever thrown up on the carpet and then showed them where he picked his nose and hid it on the wall where I would not see it (I hadn't!). He also showed them where he had puked up some cherry koolaid on the carpet. I was hoping I had gotten it clean enough they would not see it. Needless to say, they were not interested, got a huge kick out of my very precocious kid but turned it down. My Realtor said, "NOT AGAIN".

Good luck! I find that process creepy but it has to be done.

This house was in sorry shape when the owner bought it (elderly owner had let it fall into disrepair) and he didn't fix it up properly.
