(23,344 posts)I myself think it's a stretch - but allusions aside, the image of a white kid and a black kid sitting together must no doubt have irritated all the Chumpkins and RW church ladies who see it.
"I wanna go back to the days where you wouldn't see this kind of thing," I can hear them mutter.

OJ does not in any way come to mind when looking at that graphic of what looks like a Black woman and blonde with head and shoulders poking up thru the sun roof.

At home, even back then, I wasn't too much for TV time. Kid had a Nintendo by then and I had stuff to do.
Read the paper for the news. WOW. I feel old.

(5,126 posts)Ironically, when he was not convicted, I thought it was a bit of payback for all those times people got jail time for simply being black in the vicinity of a crime.
I was sad for her family and would have preferred a correct verdict, but money had been gaming the system for so long by then, I wasn't surprised.
