Do you more frequently wear a tie or band shirt?

Me and some friends were discussing this as a parameter for...something. Not sure what.

I wear a band shirt almost every day, and never wear a tie.

1. I wear a tie almost every week day

And some Saturdays.

I even learned how to tie a bow-tie.

2. Ties. Blech.

I don't have to wear one, dress casual is ok where I work. I do once in a while, if something big is happening or someone important is coming in.

3. Got some vintage band shirts and a pathological hatred of ties

I think I wore a necktie a total of 12 hours in the past 30 years. When I absolutely must, I remove it at the first opportunity decorum allows.

One thing that blows my mind is watching movies from the 40's through the 80's depicting white collar men at home after work whole leave their loosened ties on till they go to bed. What's up with that? Hell, you gotta wonder if they maybe even wear the damned thing to bed.

4. Haven't worn a tie since gramma passed three years ago.

5. I only wear bar/beer/brewery shirts

and I think I need to get some other tee shirts. I just noticed that 90% of my shirts are beer/bar/brewery/...related. It's cool when you are 20 something, but getting into mid to late 30's with a 16 month old girl might be a good time to put them away.

I never wear anything except these tshirts unless it's the occasional aloha shirt over a beer shirt with my flip flops and cut off army bdu shorts.
