MA electric rate tripled!?!

Just saw my electric bill and called national grid about it after having about 3 times the bill that was expected. Was told that the electric rate was tripled due to the new season. I’m relatively new to the state and this shocked me. Anybody else more familiar with this practice? It seems kind screwed up. Right now I’m just

But retroactive to high usage period! And was supposed to be "temporary." Yeah, right. Rate has not gone down!

Many elderly folks here could not afford to run their heat & AC before this ridiculous rate increase! (TN btw.)

I hope you get answers & a much lower rate!
