Also, the Snowman even though it was well past my childhood. Visually beautiful, gorgeous music. My then very young nephew loved it.

Worth a read if you haven't, and can find it. I think maybe it was an interview about a book she had written? ...

They had to do 3 or 4 takes with Julie warming up under blankets. I am a huge fan,. In real life Maria was not the sweet one, the caption was.

And she said after every take the helicopter would land very close, and then take off and totally mess up her hair and costume in the prop wash, so wardrobe makeup would spend a bunch of time on every take redoing her hair.

There was a bit more to it than just that though, IIRC.

Narrated by Boris Karloff. Nothing else even comes close.

Try to watch as many as possible

Muppet Christmas ones
Charlie Brown
Rudolph/Santa stop motion
California Raisins
Grinch - old cartoon, Jim Carrey, new cartoon
Garfield
A Cosmic Christmas
Ziggy's Gift

And if you haven't gotten a chance to see it and have Netflix - Klaus is a great adaptation of the Santa Claus story with great voices, one of Norm MacDonald's last roles, and some tear-jerking moments.

And since I don't feel like another subscription (Apple TV I think has the exclusive on it), I'm not going to hear it this year. Which I guess counts as a Festivus grievance
