Discovered this versatile actor when I watched the movie, 300. In a film chock full of buff, half-dressed men, my eyes went immediately to his red-headed self--despite the film's de-saturated color tones.

Growing up with dark, olive-skinned brothers, I always had a thing for blonds. (Redheads came later.) Starsky or Hutch? Duh. Hutch, of course. But when hanging out at my blond boyfriend's house, I saw a poster of Paul Michael Glaser on his sister's bedroom door. "What's wrong with her?", I thought. "Everyone knows that David Soul is the cute one." Then, I glanced at my blond, green-eyed boyfriend and thought, "Oh, I get it now."

Long ago I figured out that most of my crushes on actors were really attraction to the characters that they played. The problem with David Wenham is that even when he convincingly plays horrible people, I still find him attractive. Ahh! It makes me hate myself!

Speaking of celebrity crushes--and this goes out the the straight folk-- according to Ben Chang, a character on the NBC sit-com, Community, everyone has a same-sex celebrity crush. (Maybe gay people have an opposite-sex celebrity crush? Like Rosie O'Donnell's love of Tom Cruise?)
