This dumb draftee saw the movie overseas in a damn quonset hut and was gobsmacked to discover the sock hop was filmed in my high school gymnasium. The same gymnasium Pat Paulsen played basketball in:
Basketball Star, 1944
Tamalpais High School, Mill Valley, CA
Pat scored 36 points that year, second highest on the team. They passed the ball around a lot.
