I live in western New York, and in winter you can count the number of sunny days on both hands. It's like living inside a ping-pong ball. Nothing but gray.

winter in western NY. So far, it's the mildest winter that I can remember. But it's not over yet. Still time for more storms.

Seems like there's a pattern for the past few years of winter weather starting later and being mild, then lingering on with snowfalls in the spring.

The "lingering on with snowfalls in the spring" part.

I really dislike April snowstorms and bitterly cold polar vortexes after the trees have started budding. Some of the trees/bushes are hearty enough to recover, but other's blooms are completely destroyed for that year.

Eh....it is what it is. Just grin and bear it.
