Starting to feel a little better.

Had to run a load of glass out to the recycling center. Driving west through the Puyallup River Valley gave me a beautiful view of the Olympic Mountains. Very therapeutic. Driving east on the way home gave me a lovely view of Mount Rainier, cloaked in a fluffy blanket of snow.

A little balm for the soul...

Just started the fire at the place in the hills after three days dealing with civilization. There’s plenty of snow. It’s going to get very cold, and I am prepared to hunker down and let some peace surround me. Need to get the Florida horrors out of my head for a bit.

Soak in the peace and quiet. Have a strong drink once you are home safe and sound!

It’s almost impossibly beautiful in the Pacific Northwest. After a lifetime of tall spindly palm trees, the pines and firs and forests up here just take my breath away.

but surrounded by mountains and they always soothe me.

We lived for 10 yrs in the mountains in WA very beautiful but too much snow for us to deal with as we age. Perfect here, the snow is on the mountains to view but not here. Short drive if we miss it.

I googled to see what those views might be like, and what I saw knocked my socks off. What a blessing to have all that beauty at your fingertips! Glad to hear your spirits were raised thereby.

Like you, I too enjoy those magnificent views. Moved to Puyallup in early '21, and I can't get enough of Mt. Rainier. It makes me feel good and fills me with awe every time I get a glimpse. Glad you're feeling better.
