They probably starved each winter because they didn’t remember where they put their winter stash.

They are always on my trees, tweeting and pecking. They don't need no stinking houses, they have everything they need in/on the trees. Yesterday there were 3 on the big trees near my deck at the same time, it was very cool.

A neighbor had his septic line back up. When the clean-out was opened it was full of acorns. The woodpeckers had dropped them down the vent. I suggest screens to stop that happening.
