Day are getting longer it is now past 6 pm and it is still light out (twilight)

Today's daylight is as long as November the 5th. (about)

It has been 46 days since the shortest day of the year, 12/21.

For those that care we have had 10 days of December (21st to the 31st), 31 days of January, and now 5 days
of February and so 10 + 31 + 5 = 46.

If you take Dec. 21 and then counting backwards 46 days puts us at a daylight length of 11/5. If you live around Great
Horned or Barred owls you might be hearing them hoot now as their young are being born now. And where I live in
Central OH even if the temp is < 32 degrees F if it is sunny the snow still melts because the angle of the snow is getting
higher in the sky.

I have been watching, happily, as it stays light until 6 pm instead of 5 pm.

"On average, winter lasts for 89.0 days in the Northern Hemisphere"

I have to admit I love the snow and some of the cold.

I was just saying to Mr. Diamond that by mid Feb. we should be over the hump of winter.

Not that I hate winter exactly. He does, however.

I don’t like all the darkness, but as you said, I’ve been noticing we have daylight later now.
