She stopped getting roles after puberty and eventually died of an over-dose at 18. Child stardom can be a curse.

The actor that played Buffy's twin brother Jody, Johnny Whitaker, also struggled with drugs and alcohol. He eventually got sober and became a certified drug and alcohol counselor.

IIRC, that show was on toward the end of family hour…around 9 or 9:30 pm, but I recall watching it.
