So, now here's the a quick story of my first true love.
It was forth grade. Her name was Michelle. I was smitten. The Beatles' song "Michelle" was getting a lot of radio airtime too, which obviously made it destiny.
Unfortunately my friend Mike was smitten too. Dueling for Michelle's heart was too extreme, so we decided to have a fist fight. I really wasn't much of a fight, and I ultimately got the upper hand and was declared victor by the small group of our other friends who came for the event.
So I got to see Michelle a couple of times a week for many months after that.
Michelle's family then had to move away.
The song that got a lot of airtime about the same time she moved away? -- "I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane".
Mike and I remained good friends through high school until adult lives took us separate ways.
