(48,993 posts)trying to send DU mail to myself when I'm using mail to stash links to something I want to post about later, or a rough draft of a long message, or - maybe most often - translations of parts of an article from Google Translate that I'll want to post about later. The Ignore button is right next to the Send DU Mail button.

I tried it once, but I never noticed a difference.

(36,440 posts)I tried to put Skinner on ignore once because he, for a period of time, he was pummeling us with a boatload of superfluous messages. His super power put a stop to it and didn't allow it.

(86,636 posts)Reminds me of a video game back in the early 1980s called Crossbow where the object is to use the weapon to protect your "friends", a group of animated people walking through a dangerous terrain. If you happen to hit one of them, a warning would pop up saying "Don't shoot your friends!"
This reminded me of that. The fist time I played the game and that came up I laughed so hard I couldn't finish my turn.

(90,769 posts)ignore myself while being bad. Yes, I get I should be wanting to use that to instead try and be better, but I sometimes choose to be mean in retaliation and need to ignore myself in the doing or I feel guilty while being mean. Still going to choose to be mean from time to time though. I don't make that choice often but when I do, I go for blood.
We all have our flaws.
