When I've been a little unsure of something, I've added the Color Catcher sheet and it really did work, absorbed the excess color...

take it to the next step and dye them a darker color (especially if they are cotton -- man made fabrics don't dye well).

or Rit® color remover, found with Rit® dye at your grocery store or pharmacy.
Don't put the stuff in dryer if you haven't already- heat sets stains/dye.
