I had the same reaction my first time, too.

(29,732 posts)I liked the way they tried it with everything - even Korean garnishes. Very adventurous.

(23,694 posts)I am a certified eater of fire and I still love that stuff! I'll take a good authentic 5 way any time. You can really taste the Greek roots of that dish.
My chili is never the same twice. When I have them I use fresh jalapeno, serrano and poblano chiles, black beans, and red wine - just 1/2 cup or so. If I don't have fresh chiles I use the canned ones.
I think the parents would like Cincinnati Chili even if they add potatoes.
Actually I think they would try anything! I'd like to see them try some Southern stuff. We have a few spicy dishes too.

(2,730 posts)I lived in Cincinnati for 6 years... around the corner from a Skyline. I ate there once and never went back.
