(182,868 posts)Q: I only speak Spanish. Will it work on platanos?
Answer this question
A: Yes, it does work on banana pants. They are available here https://www.amazon.com/Susi-Rita-Digital-Stretch-Leggings/dp/B01N9OIWIO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510196505&sr=8-1&keywords=banana+pants

A: I only speak Spanish, but I do not understand because you have to use pants (pantalones). honestly I'd rather not bring it to my pants, there is nothing that needs to be sliced

No more winning for you, Mr. Banana!

For decades I have been trying to come up with an ideal way to slice a banana. "Use a knife!" they say. Well...my parole officer won't allow me to be around knives. "Shoot it with a gun!" Background check...HELLO! I had to resort to carefully attempt to slice those bananas with my bare hands. 99.9% of the time, I would get so frustrated that I just ended up squishing the fruit in my hands and throwing it against the wall in anger. Then, after a fit of banana-induced rage, my parole officer introduced me to this kitchen marvel and my life was changed. No longer consumed by seething anger and animosity towards thick-skinned yellow fruit, I was able to concentrate on my love of theatre and am writing a musical play about two lovers from rival gangs that just try to make it in the world. I think I'll call it South Side Story.
Banana slicer...thanks to you, I see greatness on the horizon.

Well, it does not open any time portals, but then again, it is not supposed to. It slices bananas. And it is pretty damn good at that.

Banana Slicer Repairs Marriage
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 11, 2021
I have never seen a marriage so chaotic. This couple had been fighting and arguing for over a decade about the proper way to slice a banana. Every time bananas needed to be sliced, there was chaos in the household. On many occasions the kitchen would end up covered in yellow goopy pulp as a result of bananas being violently flung across the room. When I learned from the husband that the fighting primarily stemmed from his traumatic experiences with uncut bananas, I knew I had to help. One day as I was perusing the recommended section in my Amazon shopping page, I came across this wonderful invention. Curious as to the efficacy of this device, I decided to read a few of the glowing reviews. The most striking reviews were the ones that had stated that this was a cure for many couples' marriage woes. I knew I had to get this as a gift for my struggling friends. So I decided to bring a few banana along with the Hutzler 571 as a gift to my friends. I demonstrated its use and purpose as I had seen in many of the video reviews. For a moment, there was only silence. But as they came to the realization that they would never have to argue again about banana slicing, they were overcome with joy and shed tears, embracing me and danced around the kitchen. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. If there is marriage that you want to save, I can whole heartedly recommend this product.
