It’s how they live their lives. Selfish and entitled group of people.

For some reason I didn't think he went the super greed route.

There are literally multiple thousands of dudes just like him in LA, and practically all of them won't even get a commercial let alone a movie career.

It's just like winning a lottery.

6. It helps when you have a US #1 single and your brother

was a founding member and a frontman of New Kids on the Block, who were big for a bit there.

"Good Vibrations" is a song by American group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch featuring Loleatta Holloway. It was released in July 1991 as the lead single from their debut album, Music for the People (1991). The song became a number-one hit in the United States, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland. It spent twenty weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, its last week rising 40 positions to number 27, but dropped out the following week.

And then there was DiCaprio recommending him for Boogie Nights. He held his own with a great cast around him, like Julianne Moore, Burt Reynolds, Don Cheadle, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Alfred Molina.

Wahlberg ain't a bad actor ... it's not like Tom Cruise's acting chops blow his away.

12. Having a famous sibling is a sign of good fortune.

He had nothing whatsoever to do with his brother being famous. Without it, he probably doesn't make it at all. Yes, he was great in Boogie Nights, but so would Ryan Gosling or Joaquin Phoenix or Jared Leto or the dude working at Starbucks that you will never know.

Superb acting talent is pretty commonly available. It all comes down to luck and timing.

14. Well, to be fair you don't know he had 'nothing whatsoever to do' with it

Maybe they challenged each other their whole lives to be better singers, dancers, to become more buffed, etc.

Also, 'luck' is not an actual 'thing'. It is precisely "preparation meeting opportunity". Nothing more.

But more importantly ... outside of talent alone ... it's timing ... and most importantly, who you know.

Granted. Their talent and hard work allowed them to take full advantage of the break that they were given, but they had little to nothing to do with getting that break in the first place.

Millions of young men all over the world have tried and failed to replicate their strategy.

my house would max out at 3 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms, a living room, and a “den”. I certainly wouldn’t want 30,000 square feet.

so if I was filthy rich I would like a 1,500 sq ft bungalow with two bedrooms and two baths and a six car garage. A loft in the garage would have a media room, pool table and a bar.
