Delighted to report my brother is home

They kept him in 'outpatient' status until they could secure an appointment with an ophthalmologist. He goes Monday morning at 8:15.

They just told him to take it easy on his eye, limiting tv and reading. He's going to listen to music and pod casts. His big orange tabby, Dude, sure missed him so he's purring and making lots of biscuits to help his dad relax.

Hopefully the problem will be easily remedied.

Again, thanks for all of the support and advice!!

My bf had a torn retina and realized it. They fixed it and his vision is back better than ever. It seems medical care has really advanced in this area. Only nuisance was having to lie on his stomach most of the time for a week or two, keeping head down when walking, not sitting up, because they want to keep pressure on the part that they fix and that required keeping his eyes pointed down.

I’m glad he got checked out. It is amazing what cameras can do to document the eye. Tell him to keep the faith. Now you can breathe easy for the moment and give yourself a giant hug! 💗💗
