Unfortunately, it can't see the picture that is in my head. For example, it can't correct the colors of a faded photo from 50 years ago.

And thank you most kindly for your response.

Sadly, I also have a secured 'tin' of those (similar) images (locked away now...forever).

Not so long ago (as an olde), I was able to vist the city wherein my beloved elementary school stood; however, that time was most unpleasant. The school building as well as the entire surrounding community had been transformed into a freeway overpass system with several interconnecting routes. Every memory I wished to re-capture was gone forever.

Now, that 'tin-of-photographs' is all that remains of my childhood, save for the contents in my mind. I savor those images on occasion, only to be brought to tears (each time). Thusly, I agree that it is not (typically) a good idea to attempt to re-vist the past, as the folks you held dear are not (now) there to share in those very precious memories.

And there you have it: A Story ('locked away now...forever')...

There are videos on YouTube about using it.

Personally, I use Paint Shop Pro, which I pay minimally for. Like a lot of software, to get it cheap and legal, just buy a previous year's edition on eBay.

There's a learning curve, but I tend to use it when MS Paint isn't enough.
