I keep wondering who they are trying to convince to buy their product. Are they trying to reach people in "food deserts" with no access to supermarkets with fresh food? How have they lived to this point in their lives without fresh foods? They look well fed.
My guess is that they are looking for people who don't like to eat fruits and veggies and prefer them in capsule forms. What's your take?

(22,758 posts)for a 30 day supply... I assume they are marketing to people making poor money choices... the people they market to do not live in food deserts and mostly likely older people who don't have a robust appetite, may think the pills are a good substitute...
obviously someone is buying them... and paying way too much!!!

(63,912 posts)Hubby was diagnosed with diabetes recently so diet becomes a focus of our attention lately! I'm at the market several times a week to restock them. When that's the main focus of your meals you have to keep shopping for them. So I'm shopping several times a week.
It's paying off. My husband has lost a lot of excess weight. I want him to go to the gym with me but he's not ready for that yet.

(3,606 posts)to take the capsules instead of buying fresh fruit and veggies. There are other reputable brands which are much more affordable. I take Natures Way. Cant use Balance of Nature veggies since the ingredients include mushrooms and I am allergic to them. I dont see how they can call mushrooms a veggie anyway. Its a fungus.

(63,912 posts)I can get smaller portions of mixed vegetables that aren't the old green peas and corn kernels type. There are abundances of frozen packages of all kinds of veggies. Hubby doesn't like broccoli which is a shame because it's in a lot of those packages. However, he'll eat just about every other veggie so it's not a big problem.
