We have a few DU'ers who are missing. I haven't heard a peep from ProudLib72 since 2019.

I went to purchase Budi and Smirkeymonkey membership back in August, but both accounts were flagged for review. I couldn't imagine either one of these DU'ers being vicious or being inappropriate to break DU's TOS.

I'm most likely forgetting a few other DU members who I thought were excellent additions to DU. So, if anyone is lurking that I mentioned, I wanted to let you know that you are missed.

Then we have a few blockheads here that get away with being condescending and using bullying tactics while keeping their DU accounts active. I avoid those people like Covid-19; I'm fairly positive that others feel the same way and this possibly hinders them from participating.

is going on in the world. I post there sometimes. but I'm careful what I post. The Lounge is a better place for me. I lurk in the GD. It could be just me. I think you sometimes need a thick skin to post in GD, and I don't have it. But I am glad it's there to read. if not to post.

I’ve experienced that, and yes it has reduced my participation such that it’s very unlikely that I’ll chime in on controversial issues. In part, I don’t feel a need to add to the chorus of how TFG is an outrageous *hole, but I’m also disinterested in exposing myself to condescending twits.

I ran into some trouble. I don't post there much now and when I do I try to keep my responses bland. Too many really angry people who take offense at any and everything, I don't want to deal with that. I've been posting more often here in the Lounge, taking a break from GD

I shouldn't say more but practically anything can get you flagged/banned. Including what I just said.
