cole slaw, beets with vinegar and onions ,deviled eggs. . Don't feel like making stuffed cabbage with kielbasa this year.

(16,385 posts)Normally we would do ham, homemade potato salad, asparagus, and bread rolls but no one wants to cook this year.

(8,514 posts)My son and his wife host almost all of the holiday meals these days. I chip in a little money to help with the ingredients. My son tries to refuse it, but it alleviates my guilt for being a lazy mom.
They're both better cooks and bakers than I could ever hope to be.

(16,344 posts)Ham, deviled eggs, asparagus, rolls, scalloped potatoes.
Easter is about the Easter bunny in our house. It is not and has never been a religious event. My kids got Easter baskets each year when they were kids. They just never got any sort of a religious bent to the day.

(16,344 posts)But this year, Im not feeling it.
Im thinking pork tenderloin instead. That and asparagus, Nadines cracked black pepper and onion rolls (homemade), deviled eggs, and some peep-shaped sugar cookies (homemade). Oh and scalloped potatoes, no ham.
It worked for my ancestors, why change now?
