Reminds me the research on Koko, the gorilla that learned to use sign language. Occasionally she invented names for items when she didn't know the sign, such as "Candy bean" for a chewable vitamin.

Bunny is showing that same ability to create a novel communication -- a much higher level of linguistic development than I would have expected from a dog.

Dogs seem to be MUCH smarter than we think!
