Grieving horse finally makes a new friend

I watched Peggy and Gidget's story, but I thought it was too sad to post because I felt so bad for Peggy at the end. I'm so relieved to know that she finally found a new friend.

Here's the story about Gidget (major hankie alert):

Lonely horse makes a friend in her final year

I felt so bad for Peggy.

After Gidget passed, Peggy would keep patrolling Gidget's stall looking for her friend. You could see how depressed she was.

It was so heartbreaking.

I'm so glad she has a new friend.

proper food, exercise. I am amazed given Gidget's last 10 years of care with someone who couldn't properly care for her...

So happy they went and rescued her and gave her 1 year of fields to run in (or just walk) and mud to splash, and a friend to spend time with.

These up close and personal bonds have opened my heart and eyes to something I never really thought about before. I’m liking animals more than some people these days and give my kitty extra love and rub downs a lot more than usual 😻 If I ever win the lottery, I’ll have the best no kill sanctuary
