Today is the annual Spring Opening Of A Window.

It finally got warm enough to open Pixie's favorite window, and she immediately launched herself onto the sill where she can watch and imagine eating all those birds and squirrels. She's so excited she can hardly stand it. There's still a glacier in my back yard and a 3' snow pile blocking the door to my shed, but all that should be gone by May.

Yay, Spring!

Now that it isn't so cold he spends more time away from the porch doing whatever it is cats do with their time, but he's almost always on his throne in the morning, waiting for breakfast. If he's not there he turns up soon after I set the food out. He looks sleek and healthy.

Last week we were hitting mid 80s. For the last few days it has been unseasonably cool, damp and breezy. Of course within the next month, we will be begging for cool and breezy.
