Disaster: Combine a dog, a mouse, and a sticky trap.

We saw a mouse in the kitchen, so we put a sticky trap on the counter. The dog sleeps in the kitchen. This morning I went downstairs and found my husband sitting on the floor with scissors, trimming the dog.

The mouse had stuck to the trap and run around the kitchen, got pounced on by the dog, and met a messy demise. The kitchen floor sticks to my socks.

He said when he came down, the dog was resting nonchalantly in her bed (stuck to it, so it's garbage) and the mouse was...a sight I'm glad he cleaned up before I arrived.

We have the GooGone out. At least we got rid of the mouse.

although she loves to chase rabbits in the yard. What surprises me is that she didn't go into a barking frenzy. It must have all happened quickly.

Get that trap glue off your pup and trying to de-stickify everything! I’ve tried to get mice out of those traps before. It was difficult, and he only had one foot in the goo.

When I saw the title of the post, I thought the thread was going to be about DeSantis, Mickey, and Disney lawyers!

Glad your pup is ok and, like you said, at least the mouse is gone!

tried one when they first came out and was horrified by a small mouse screaming in pain as it ripped its skin off trying to escape. I had to put it out of its misery and started using live traps.

Stick a piece of cheese in the trap and close the lid. The traps have 1 way spring doors and glass top, no no need to open to check if you have a live one. Trapped 4 and released outside....that was years ago, no mice since then.

I thought I was going to see something about Mickey, Goofy, and Ron DeSantis. I was clearly wrong.
