OP
I had a cat who would back himself up to a wall and thump it with his tail when he was mad.

Put his front paws in and slide down the hill. Over and over.
Its not cute but very sweet the way our dog now, lays dead things at my feet. No, not cute.
But such reverence to give me this gift. He doesnt necessarily kill it but usually he did.

the lever on the Hinckley Springs water jug and get himself a drink whenever he wanted. It took him about three days to figure it out, and to transition from using his teeth to using a paw.
It was a joy to watch.

Husband liked to relax in the basement, where it was cool. Cat would go down to the litter box, meow a greeting to him and he would say, "Hey, girl." One day he didn't reply; he wanted to see what she would do. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see her watching him. She then ran upstairs. Got in my face, would not let me alone. Went back down the stairs, meowing all the day. She stood at the bottom, near the couch and looked up at me with worry in her eyes. (I swear, it was there.) Then the Husband explained what had happened. Once she realized he was okay, she went back to her blase cat attitude.

she wants her privacy.
