(29,577 posts)One of the most awesome places I have ever been. We rented jet skis, but I don't know if that would be doable this time of year. I'll bet the black squirrels are still there someplace.

(132,217 posts)only time I should say, there was a huge antique car show, yachts, horseback riders, two weddings, two pools, croquet, picnics, and a lot of other stuff in one panoramic view of the grounds. When we were there this winter for the day, they were shortstaffed. I guess all the resorts are these days.

Quebec police admit they went undercover at Montebello protest
Quebec provincial police admitted Thursday that three of their officers disguised themselves as demonstrators during the protest at the North American leaders summit in Montebello, Que.
However, the police force denied allegations its undercover officers were there on Monday to provoke the crowd and instigate violence.
"At no time did the police of the Sûreté du Québec act as instigators or commit criminal acts," the police force said in French in a news release. "It is not in the police force's policies, nor in its strategies, to act in that manner.
"At all times, they responded within their mandate to keep order and security."
Police said the three undercover officers were only at the protest to locate and identify non-peaceful protesters in order to prevent any incidents.
Police came under fire Tuesday, when a video surfaced on YouTube that appeared to show three plainclothes police officers at the protest with bandanas across their faces. One of the men was carrying a rock.

more? Fun thing.... My eyes collapsed when I was late thirties. I was a smoker. I laughed because I was single and always would be so it wouldn't matter to anyone. And it hasn't. He's a sweet person. My parents were better looking than we are. None of us got their movie star looks: https://www.flickr.com/photos/198124749@N03/52831443145/in/photostream

(132,217 posts)was at their farm not too far from the church near New Glasgow, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. My mom gave the dress back to the friend she had borrowed it from and the friend used it to upolster a chair. Once in my life I got onto the farm and looked across the valley. Beautiful view.

(1,487 posts)When you turn left coming from Ottawa, going toward Park Omega, maybe an hour into the hills, near Mt. Tremblant. My son lives there now, been in the family since 1880s. I spend my time in South Carolina these days. Could no longer do the minus 40 degree nights that sometimes occur in the winter. Driving to Ottawa & crossing the ice bridge to Ontario, think it was near Orleans or stinky Thurso. Memories....
