(6,797 posts)I don't care for crowds anyway so we try to go between lunch and dinner time.

(80,415 posts)I find I get quite anxious now in a crowded place due to covid.

(6,797 posts)I am usually the only person wearing a mask anywhere I go. But I still wear it.

(80,415 posts)But I have calmed down a bit.
I only go out when the stores and restaurants are mostly empty.

(80,415 posts)It is like we all became agoraphobic.
Except it is not neurotic, it is all real.
Being in crowds could have killed us.
Diamond_Dog
(40,082 posts)Havent done that since the pandemic started. Most restaurants around here are crowded at dinner time 7 days a week. We still dont feel comfortable doing that yet.

(1,362 posts)I occasionally do pickup. In fact, I just went through the drive thru at Burger King and got a triple Whopper. I brought it home and wrapped two of the burgers and put them in the freezer. I cut the remaining sandwich in half. Half for lunch and half for dinner. (But, this is coincidence. I don't do pickup or drive-thru often either.)

(80,415 posts)I cannot eat the same food more than three times in a row, so then I freeze what is left.

(19,382 posts)Even went out during Covid. You wore a mask and tables were separated out. It was cleanest ever. I wish they did that all the time.

(76,132 posts)...we were as worried about the risks to the staff as to ourselves.
We did some carryout before the vax.

(10,476 posts)to eat at about pre-COVID levels. My problem is that the quality almost everywhere since COVID has dropped considerably. Then there's the ordering from your phone when you are in the restaurant phenomenon, which is a nonstarter for me. No, I don't want your app, I want a piece of paper with a list of food on it. I will go elsewhere.

(13,959 posts)We choose between two or three restaurants each week and are usually the only people wearing masks, except for a few on the staff. One of my neighbors just got over COVID a few weeks ago. He had gone out to dinner with a retired couple in the neighborhood and all three got it so I don't feel funny wearing a mask.

(10,108 posts)I go out to eat as often as I did pre-Covid. I'm up-to-date on my Vaccines and had Covid in 2021. Obviously, I realize one can get it more than once so I'm careful. We are often able to get outdoor/patio seating.
