Hello lovelies. I didn't mention I was getting skin removal surgery yesterday. But I was completely out the entire day yesterday. Hello I'm fine now lying up in a bed lol surgery went well to remove skin I had from losing 200+ pounds in the past few years. I hope I look fabulous soon as it starts to heal up. I'm worried about scarring though. Especially around my lower stomach.
But just wanted to pop in and tell everyone.

(10,156 posts)I'm so sore and tired. It feels kinda weird too. Like I've had so much weight on me my entire life and now its gone. Its just weird.

(10,156 posts)On top of that I got another surgery coming at the end of this month to get my facial features done to look more feminine.

(33,643 posts)Someone close to me is pondering the same type surgery for the same reason (100+ lbs weight loss), so let us know how the recovery is going!
vercetti2021
(10,156 posts)Reason yesterday I was shot up with so much morphine lol sore today but its manageable. Honestly I would do it. Its gonna be nice not having to wear a size larger to hide the sagging skin anymore and just carrying it around in general.

(34,119 posts)I bet you will feel so much better. A long process you have been through.
Way to go, here is to a short recovery and a long and wonderful future ahead.

(10,156 posts)I felt better when the weight was gone, but now I won't have to worry about sagging skin anymore. I can get a size smaller now to fit into like medium or maybe small
MuseRider
(34,119 posts)I cannot imagine how bothersome all that extra skin was...and now it is gone! Medium or maybe small? You have done a great job. The few other people I have known who did this, all of it, were still pretty large after all that but they started really very large. Still they felt so much better and were certainly more comfortable and that is what counts.

(10,156 posts)I also was working out though to help with my legs and arms. I guess inside of all of us is a tiny frame. But also being on hormones for transition kinda reshaped my body too. I got curvy and my shoulders, arms, legs all shaped up

(10,156 posts)Immediate fasting was the best weight loss I ever done. Hard, but it was worth it. I hope I feel great once this heals because I'll have to think about scarring and how to handle that

(17,327 posts)The earliest from around 1965 looks like a caterpillar. Fast forward to the scars from mid 70s that look like slightly lines as wide as 2-3 pencil lines. Then my most recent and sure to be last from about 5 years ago looks like a pencil line and totally unnoticeable. Sometimes I wear them as well earned badges of courage on my arms and ankles for all to see and sometimes I prefer to wear long sleeves. You will figure it out! 💗

(10,156 posts)When I started weight loss. I was 395 pounds. Now I figure maybe without the loose skin. Probably 180 now? I'm 6'4 so I'm tall. So I'm gonna look pretty nice. Minus the scarring though which I'll have to figure out how to deal with.

How long was your fasting window? Did you do like 16:8 (16 hours fasting/8 hours eating window)? How long did it take you?
Reading stories like yours are so inspiring to me!
vercetti2021
(10,156 posts)16 hour gap between eating. But I so drank certain things to help curve appetites as well. And I started in 2021.
