The latest scam?

I just received a call from a heavily accented person who claimed to be the border patrol and customs dept, who says my identity is associated with drug running and money laundering. I told them I'd check with the police and hung up.

I presume they wanted bits of my identity, but I didn't talk to them long enough to find out.

Anybody else received such a call?

1. Most recent scam call I've gotten was offering me a COVID test

They wanted all my pertinent info - birth date, SSN#, etc. Since I won't even confirm my name to unknown callers, I frustrated the hell out of the heavily accented caller. Then I told her I knew how to get a COVID test if needed, not to call me again, remove my number from her list, and hung up on her.

I may have missed the cradle several times as I slammed the phone down.
