Some years ago, there was a storm that knocked the power out for several days. No internet, no TV. But the phone worked. After I got tired of reading by flashlight and the dog ran out of conversation, I resorted to playing with the phone. After amusing myself with YouTube for awhile, I got a message that I had exceeded my data limit and my rate would automatically be increased from this time hence until forever. So I called AT&T and explained that while I would be happy to pay a one time charge, I didn’t want the rate increased permanently because this was an extraordinary circumstance with the rain and the power outage, so I got bored and was watching Mr Bean videos on YouTube.
The universe blessed me at that moment, because I was speaking to the ONE phone service rep in America that knew about British humor. She started laughing and told me she would adjust the bill. No extra charges.
Who knew Mr Bean was a miracle worker?
