1956: The IBM 305 RAMAC disk drive. Weighs about a ton, was frequently transported using cargo planes. It held about 5 MB of data:

Today: The microsd card. Weighs a few grams, about the size of a fingernail, can be transported in your pocket. This particular example holds 1 TB of data, about 209,700 times that of the IBM 305.
