Why do I get logged out

On here? Sometimes I will check DU and I have to log in, even though I never logged out. And I'm talking about from morning when I get on, until evening.

1. That kept happening to me too

Then I realized my browser was on "secret/igcognito" mode.

Fixed that now it's working fine.

Also make sure that little "keep me signed in " box is checked.

4. Before putting in name and password, put that box to on

Worth the try. This could prevent configs (aka ‘cookies’) from clearing.

If the ‘stay signed in box’ doesn’t work after that, try a different browser or, if possible, update or reinstall it

3. The browser you use and the operating system on your device

Have a large say over that matter based on behind the scenes configurations. Timeouts are arbitrary. Not always something you can control.

If you open lots of windows or tabs or other apps the device may decide to ‘retire’ the connection. Ads playing, battery life, and other actions or states may arbitrarily extend or shorten the window.

I’d like to be more precise but it’s actually not something you can just say for sure in this case

6. Same. I tracked one culprit down

but I still don't understand *why* it happens.

But *everytime* I open my Hoopla (library) app, I get signed out of DU. Why??

8. That happens to me every time my browser updates

Not a big deal, I just log in again.

9. When you log in click the keep me logged in tab.

10. No tech guru here but if you delete cookies, this could do it.

11. It happens to me each month

From what I can tell.
I stay logged in, but sometimes when I open DU I need to log in again, and it seems like it happens each month but I haven't kept track.

Don't know if it's a function of my set up or something on DU.

It’s weird, but it ain’t that weird.
