(22,876 posts)This is not me, but I have a somewhat similar build.

On the Target website, they show a very skinny model in it, and it looks like a sack on her. Imagine that, a piece of clothing that actually looks better on a chubby person than a super skinny one!
I took one look at this and fell in love with it. When I tried it on, I loved it even more, which is not something that always happens. So I bought it. I'm thinking of wearing it to Pridefest in a nearby town a couple weeks from now.

(7,964 posts)I was glad to see the modest Pride display at the very first corner you encounter before going right or left.
It wasn't hounding anyone, threatening children, pushing anything down everyone's throat. It didn't mention sexuality, drag queens, or attempt to groom anyone. It was just some rainbow-branded merchandise on a shelf asking people to take pride in themselves. Nobody was offended nor stopped in their tracks by it. It peacefully co-existed with everything else and everyone in the store just like you'd expect.

(614 posts)As a mom of a trans child who is now a target for the GOP, I appreciate anything anyone does to show the LGBTQ community support.
And my child and I shop Target.

(29,417 posts)but the selection was just awful. This is in the Minneapolis metro area, and the display was still front and center so I doubt Target had pulled any items. I'm hoping it was just picked over. If it wasn't, whoever ordered the merchandise for this store did a terrible job.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
