(29,889 posts)I have a genetic trait where I accumulate too much iron in the form of hemoglobin. Drinking blood would really louse up my numbers. I guess that doesnt matter to an immortal. Still, not a fan of the bloodsucking. Besides, Im more of a day person.

(18,629 posts)... the best for D&D is probably the several incarnations of Critical Role, which started the whole genre. Good, talented voice actors who have appeared in many video games (and sometimes on TV and in movies, like Ashley Johnson), who are brilliant in the role-play aspects and the improv, but almost always pretty bad at the actual game mechanics.
D&D dungeonmaster Matt Mercer is fair notorious, he even did a one-off D&D session with Stephen Colbert.

(4,090 posts)He thought himself immortal.
He could not be killed by man or beast or by any weapon.
He could not be killed in daylight nor at night.
He could not be killed on land nor in the sky; not inside nor outside.
He learned otherwise one twilight at the threshold on the lap of Narasimha, when he was disemboweled by the claws of a half-lion/half-man.

Or any of Roger Zelazny's immortals. Gut had a fixation on immortals.

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
