Do you have "personal" acronyms/mnemonics?

I mean acronyms/mnemonics that you made up to remind you of stuff.

Mine are “phone wallet keys” and “ABC”.

Every time before I lock a door (car, house, etc) I go “phone wallet keys”, patting my different pockets to feel each one. Every time I exit or re-enter a car, “phone wallet keys”. Fill up with gas, “phone wallet keys”. Go into a store, “phone wallet keys”. Etc etc etc.

The other one is “ABC” (Always Be Charging). Spouse and I are often (seems like always!) out and about…camping, hiking, etc. If our phones go dead it COULD be dangerous. It has our hiking maps, compass, etc. So when we are in the vehicle one of us always asks the other “where you at?” referring to charge percentage. Whoever is lowest starts charging.

So what ones do you use?

On occasion I have misplaced my keys. Last week I picked up a bunch of stuff, including my keys. Then spent 10 minutes looking for them. They were in my hand the whole time.

Sewing terms I repeat to myself. RST means “Right Sides Together” which is the correct layout of fabrics when piecing. DTR means “Down the Runway” a reminder when free motioning heirloom feathers that “plume” a certain way - I can visualize them in any direction by repeating this to myself.

a lot of feathers of different lengths, different widths, different amounts of curl. I don't get it either, but I know why - I haven't handled enough feathers. I do know enough to know that if they aren't handled right, they look terrible.

The quilting pattern often most used on traditional quilts have a certain path that always begins with a “Down the Runway” path proceeding on a prestiched stem, vine, or one drawn with chalk. It’s easy to get turned around or just plain lose the pattern on a small domestic sit down machine when at times you quilt upside down to accommodate the smallest bulk in the limited throat space and reposition often. If you can locate the spine ( stem or vine ) and identify up & down - the DTR is the ticket to success.

Mind-bending details deleted.

Just to say, with these monsters, it's easier to remember B, F C, and B E than all the sharps and flats.

P E L K, for Park, Emergency, Lights, and Key. In these modern times, the lights turn off anyway.

BTW, your mnemonic leaves out the "I" for Indigo.

What's the "BB" at the beginning and the "GW" at the end stand for?

My favorite is the one for the classification system - Kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, species.

The mnemonic is "Kings play chess on fat girls stomachs"!

BB is Black Brown
No Indigo, Blue is used instead.
This gives you all 10 numbers starting with zero.
