It's clear Justin likes the sound of flute in his songs. To have rock's iconic flute player on board makes perfect sense!

with Greg Lake at St. Bride's in London several years earlier, when Greg sang "I Believe in Father Christmas" - I posted that in a reply here last winter at https://www.democraticunderground.com/10181743497#post9 (though I got the date wrong; it was 12/12/2005, not 2011 as the video had said).

I found a 7-minute video of an intervew Ian did in 2006, talking about the flute in rock music, especially Ray Thomas of the Moodies. Ian had apparently hoped to be asked to perform with the Moodies after Ray left the band in 2002. Justin appears briefly in this video as well.

The concert featured Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, the host, with guests Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues and Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. I had posted last night the three songs Dickinson performed on, but for some reason the YT videos didn't show up. Our friend highplainsdem wrote me about it out of concern.

And so, here are Bruce's three songs:

G.K. Chesterton's "O God of Earth and Altar"

An excerpt from William Blake's "Jerusalem"

Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath"

They appear to still not be working...so if they aren't for you go to YouTube, search "Bruce Dickinson Canterbury Cathedral," and they'll come right up.

Are you seeing the "blocked in your country" notice that sometimes appears?

I live in the US, so that shouldn't have been an issue.

The best part of all this is when Bruce sang the first verse of "O God of Earth and Altar" with no microphone.

you posted them, and I have no idea why you couldn't. I did some googling but all I could find was stuff about people's own videos uploaded to YT and those sometimes not showing up if they accidentally set them to private.

Have you ever had this problem before with not being able to see videos you posted on DU, when videos posted by others were visible?
