(12,744 posts)It almost felt like a jam band the way they stretched out the newer material - unfortunately the early Attractions stuff sounded like it was going to fall apart. Man Out of Time and Almost Blue sounded great though.

This was actually the weakest show of his I've seen, but that's not really as much of an insult - the other shows were that good. The 02 show was my favorite, it was mostly Imperial Bedroom, Blood and Chocolate, King of America and When I Was Cruel material. And a heavenly version of Shipbuilding.
Nick Lowe and Los Straightjackets were a treat as well. I'd never seen Nick before.

(130,516 posts)A couple of old favorite LPs are Turandot with Sutherland and Pavarotti and Boris Godunov with Martti Talvela, and I'm constantly playing a recent CD of Italian Renaissance lute music because it's so relaxing. I don't like much popular music with the exception of some old Rolling Stones albums.
