8. Me too. It's an Aiwa brand. Cassette and radio. Good in blackouts or other emergencies.

Curiously, it was called The Soundabout. Made by Sony, it had a blue metallic finish and a blue leather case. The volume controls were a pair of stereo faders and it had an orange button that, when pressed, would lower the volume to half and activate a built-in microphone so you could hear someone talking to you.

They weren’t ubiquitous yet and people would stare at me wondering what the thing was. It lasted more than ten years! I loved it.

the knock-offs came soon and they were way cheaper. I had one around '81-'82 and I think I paid 19.95 for it. It also had an AM/FM radio in it. I really used it a lot. I had a good cassette recorder as part of my home stereo and made my own mix tapes.
