We'd be watching TV and they would hit the floor - randomly. One of the main reasons I did not want a door dispenser for ice. hard to find but I found one that only dispenses water

I like crushed ice so I keep it on that setting.

Whenever I went to get some ice in a glass, the refrigerator only partially hit the glass I was holding,
it sprayed out crushed ice all over the floor in front of the refrigerator.

My dogs loved that refrigerator, they love to eat ice.
