Some were froze off, some cut out and others left alone. One came back for possibly dangerous, so she had a surgeon dig more of it out and he shaved another on off my face.
The really bad one was my my shoulder and another one she cut out and tested was on my stomach. Anyway, I looked terrible for a week or two. When asked what happen, I’d just point at my wife and smile.
At 73 with lots of outdoor time, I plan on going back every year or two to get checked out.
Also had some uncomfortable patches on my butt and calf. She gave me some steroid shots and they went away.

Plus they haven’t returned and it’s been about 15 years. I’ve seen ads lately for at home removal products. They’re easily googled but I’d research their safety.

them fall off. No prescription needed from your friendly pharmacist.

There is a particular type of skin tag that grows on the penis, however, that should be dealt with by a real doctor.

After an initial consult and cost estimate with a dermatologist for removal of some small skin tags on my neck years ago, I had success "strangling" a few, having them shrivel away with no scarring.

I personally would not consider a home remedy for a large skin tag. Insurance will sometimes cover removal by a dermatologist if the removal it not just cosmetic.

They can freeze them off. I had one on my cheek in 2020, which was right where a mask was hitting and driving me nuts. I went to a dermatologist, he hit it with some liquid nitrogen. It hurt like an SOB, but it was gone in a few days.

Did the whole dermatologist thing several times, got tired of having to wait for appointments, etc.

I use a quality pair of toenail clippers that I use only for skin tags, and soak them in alcohol. The first few times, I used ice to numb the area, but now I just clip them off. Just a little pinch. They hardly ever bleed.
