Previously those rooms had views of roads, apartment buildings and maybe mountains in the distance. They were relatively cheaper (but not cheap) and now those rooms will be bringing in some extra bucks.
The building has some novelty to it. We'll see how it holds up over time.

Last time I was near the Luxor you could make out every pane covering the pyramid because the sand had made its way into every crack. Not sure how often they clean it so I don't know if that was weeks worth of sand or only a few days.
