There's a number of text-based conversation network apps. Now THREADS seems to be taking over.

What text-based conversation network app are you currently using?

If you are using more than one, select your favorite.

If you would suggest another similar social texting network what would it be?

Thanks for your participation.

Be careful of these, Thread in particular, vaccuums up huge amounts of your data when it connects. dutch777 Jul 2023 #1

My wife is in cybersecurity and she has banned these from our home network or phones.

Use external drives to store any personal data. But I'm still careful. Don't know what kind of security wall DU.

Thread is only available if you have the app and subscribe to Instagram and only on your cell phone. I really don't want to subscribe to Instagram.

That's how they got all those accounts so fast.

I opted to delete my Instagram account since I don't really sue it anyway.

I'm trying to reduce my time on Twitter and build up my Mastodon account at the same time.

Reminding everyone of the time that Meta turned over Facebook posts to the police and got a mother and daughter charged with abortion crimes while everyone talks about running over to #threads for no particular reason https://www.theverge.com/2022/8/10/23299502/facebook-chat-messenger-history-nebraska-teen-abortion-case
