Except in the summer at 2am. The train comes through town. I have lived in three different neighborhoods and if your windows are open, you will hear one train perhaps two.

It was a city motto, and there's a huge sign on a bridge over the Delaware River.

It was once a major manufacturing hub. The cable for the Brooklyn Bridge was manufactured there, and there were many other kinds of factories; only a few are left.

It's a beautiful little city, New Jersey's capital, on the Delaware, but it's fallen on hard times - a former Mayor is in prison for corruption - but it still has much to recommend it, culturally and historically.

I love Trenton and I hope for better times for the city.

Thanks for the kind words for Trenton.

It was a scientific conference, and the conference organizers, probably from flack received for holding a conference in Texas, invited a city promoter, a gay black man, to speak to us and let us know that Houston is one of the most diverse cities in America, proud of its diversity, and its many cultural offerings.

I was impressed.

The city let us know that they're not the Texas we hear about.
