brother beagle. One day, we are going into the local dog park and some guy greets us with “Hey, you want another beagle? “. Of course, I replied “Everyday!” The guy said that seriously, some lady was looking to re-home a beagle. So we went across and found the lady and the beagle and her little boy. Jake came to their household from an older relative who could no longer care for him, and although they wanted to keep him, he was a runner and their unfenced home near a busy road made them decide that it would be best to re-home him. So the lady and I talked while the dogs played and it was decided that Jake would join us at my house later that afternoon.

Jake arrived on time, along with his food, bed and vet records. Since he was only 6 months old, he was immediately scoping out the house and deck in that very excited about everything puppy way.

Meanwhile, Lydia the cat, took one look at him and GLARED at me. I heard, distinctly, “Not another one of those big nosed dogs!”

That was the only time she ever spoke to me. And yes, they all learned to get along. Once the cat food bowl was moved high out of beagle range.

"Feed me!" or "My bowl is empty!"

or

"Where's my fan club?" Seriously, my cat adores being petted and given attention by people on my block. However, her "fan club" hasn't come by in a while. I think it's because it's summer break.

…10 month old Siamese kittens would eat until it was all gone. He never leaves a single morse, already has something of a belly, so as soon as he is a year old, I’ll put him on a weight control formula.

His sister stops when she has had enough, as do the two 11 yr old cats.

I order things for Sunny once a month from Chewy. He knows he is getting something delivered just for him.

I think he would say it in spanish, not because he's a Chihuahua, but he he responds to spanish faster than English.
It takes him a minute if I give him in English, as if he is thinking of the translation. But in Spanish it's boom, instant response.

He is a pistol, I tell you!

See, was not his first ward, as it were.

The first person he took care of was an elderly lady. Her daughter was going to keep him a let him enjoy being a pet. But without a person to help he was depressed.

The elderly lady was a patient of my old GP. Told him the issue and he contacted me. He knew I was alone, could us some company and a helping paw.

We had a meeting and hit it off.

We've been a team ever since.

He's my in house emotional therapist, my physical therapy coach/cheerleader, and in extreme circumstances, my St Bernard.

He's my mild manner Sonny, but he is also Super Chihuahua.

Normally on a good day it would be, "Feed me!"

Disclaimer: We had to schedule a vet appointment last Friday and they gave her an appetite stimulant that I have to put in her ear. They also did all her senior exam stuff since we were already there. She was devouring her food all way up to yesterday and stopped eating. The vet doesn't want her losing any more weight.

I had to make another appointment for today since she stopped eating and since she wasn't eating I couldn't drug her with the gabapentin to make her calm before her appointment. Without doing x-rays, the vet decided it was a bronchial issue and gave her an antibiotic and steroid shot. I thought that Moppit was going to murder the vet and the assistant while the vet was examining her chest. Luckily, the assistant had scratch proof gloves on, but there was no mistaken the growling and threats that Moppit was throwing out at her appointment today.
