(113,957 posts)and that is damned hard to do.
Still, while I'm a big Prince fan, they were both incredibly talented performers... and tormented in their own ways.
Prince, but I wonder if I'd feel the same if I didn't know anything about Michael Jackson except his performances.

(102,789 posts)As artists, I think Prince was more talented and had more to offer. But then they only overlapped for a little while time-wise.

(9,852 posts)never bought Michael Jackson product.
Michael Jackson issued some catchy material but never was a fan in any sense.
Would have gone to a Prince concert but never had the ready opportunity.

(880 posts)I never ever liked Prince.
Jackson was pop, that's all.
If I HAD to pick, it'd be Michael because I really never ever liked Prince, ever...ugh.

(6,248 posts)Michael was a singer and dancer.
Prince also danced and sang. But he played guitar with the best.

Prince played 27 instruments on his "For You" album. It's possible that he used autotune, but he didn't need to.
MJ was introduced to music most likely while Katherine was pregnant with him. MJ did not need autotune at all.
I remember watching a Prince interview and he stated that MJ contacted Prince for a duet for the song Bad. Prince made it clear that he was not singing the lyrics "your butt is mine" to another man.
Madonna and MJ use to attend events together in the early 80's and MJ promptly stopped hanging out with her after she mentioned having "spanky time" with him.
