Please tell me 2012 will be better.

I wouldn't wish the past year on my worse enemy.

Jan-- My friend killed herself and her family. We are the ones who called the police because we couldn't get a hold of her for a week.

Feb-- I start throwing up all night. I go up to our town hospital thinking I had the stomach flu and would give me some fluids (treat me like a drug seeker like they treat EVERYONE and send me on my way.) Find out I had an umbilical hernia. Emergency surgery to remove it end up getting Fungal pneumonia and spending 1 full month in the hospital and a total of 3 months on oxygen. Basically I wasn't back to work til may.

Since I was renting from my friend I made a deal with her estate to keep up with the grass if I got a deal on the rent. Hubby and I get a lawn morow and it kept breaking down so we ended up hiring someone and paying them. (Thought we would save money.)

Drug user broke into the empty side of the house and stole one of the few things left in the in my friend's house. The A/C and for a short time used it as a hide out.

A couple months ago our toilet began to leak. Ends up the seal at the base is basically broken down and the leak has been going on for a while (unknown to us) it ruin the carpet and floor boards underneath. Basically to fix it a new toilet is needed carpet and floor boards BUT no money in the estate to do so. Handy man who came to look at the bathroom also noticed that the roof on the empty side of the house is caving in. Basically we are going to have to find another place to live.

Last night my Aunt had a massive stroke. She is brain dead and now they have her on a vent until her son gets home to see her.

I had a similar year ...about 20 years ago...
I'm still here.

This too, shall pass .... yes, we do remember, yet the memories are not quite as painful...

My 2010 was like kind of like that (and part of this year too). Brother killed. Parents house flooded. Business failing. Medical bills. Etc etc etc.

I know its just another day of the year, but I really want Jan 1 to mean a new start this time.
